It has been a busy few weeks on the build of the new JB Sports Recovery centre, whilst still a way off being ready for a grand opening, we now have a water tight roof, windows and doors due to be fitted early next week and lots of exciting things being delivered.
Most importantly of all the things that has been delivered is the new strength and conditioning kit which I can not wait to have installed ready to play with! Some really top end equipment has arrived ready for all of my clients to experience.
Some of which I have put pics up on socials already but I thought I would do a blog about it in further detail.
So, what exactly have we got?
I firmly believe that at the core of rehabilitation and sports performance is a good base of strength. So be able to help build that compound full body movements are key. Squats, Deadlifts and presses. So, we have a fantastic new Wolverson fitness Bison series rack, if were going to squat we need to do it safely and a solid rack is essential for that. A rack on its own isn’t much use so there are two Olympic barbells a 20kg Rouge Ohio bar and a 15kg Rouge Bella bar and the Rouge War bar – a lightweight bar enabling us to train movements correctly without loading them.
When we do want to start loading our movements with more than just the bar weight we have got some awesome Rouge IWF bumper plates, everything from big old 25kg plates down to when we want to fine tune that 1 rep max personal best lift, a little 0.5kg plate and everything in between.
To compliment the barbell training we have some Rouge dumbbell pairs from 4kg up to 15kg, a good range of Rouge kettlebells again from 4kg up to 20kg. Meaning we have lots of options to adapt exercises and throw in some complimentary exercises to super set your workouts.
Not only does the Bison rack help to keep us safe whilst training, it also acts as a pull up bar with a wonderfully grippy bar. If, like me, pull ups aren’t your strong suit its no problem as we have a variety of band options to assist it getting that rep.
Another piece of equipment from Wolverson is a pulley stack, with weights going up to 91kg we can work on all the brilliant ways a pulley can help us train.
I can not wait to be up, running and able to start putting people through their paces.
I hope you all have a fantastic weekend and I look forward to brining you more news as the build progresses!
