With the new year well established and Spring not too far away, for many people it means one thing, marathon running season is here. You may be training for the London Marathon, or perhaps you hope to smash couch to 5k. (Which undoubtedly feels like a marathon! ) Whether you’re brand new to running, or have a few races already under your belt, Resilient Runner Programme is for you. | ![]() |
STEP ONE: Initial Assessment and Goal Setting | |
We start by understanding you, your running background and current training. I will talk to you about your injury history and any ongoing niggles. Importantly, I will understand your goals (performance, distance, confidence, injury reduction).
This all helps me to tailor your programme specifically to you – there are no generic plans. Together we will decide if a 4, 8 or 12 week plan is best for you.

The Resilient Runner Programme isn’t just a “running plan” - it’s injury aware, performance-led coaching and recovery. JBSR Plans are personalised to improve performance, reduce injury risk and keep you running consistently - with in-person strength training and recovery built in.

You may choose a 4, 8 or 12 week plan. Your programme is built around five key pillars:

As your training adapts, so does your plan. You can expect:
· Structured progression over time
· Adjustments based on how your body responds
· Support to keep training consistent and sustainable
· Depending on the length of your programme, you will have up to 3 soft tissue therapy sessions included to aid your recovery, additional sessions can be added.
This programme isn’t about perfection – it’s about making progress.
About me & Your Role |
I have supported athletes at many events covering everything from muddy cross country, track speedsters, ultra marathons and everything in-between, and have completed a few myself too - I understand the dedication it takes to train for and successfully execute a marathon - and come out the other side smiling. The beauty of the Resilient Runner is it brings together my passions as a L5 Sports and Remedial Massage Therapist and L4 Strength and Conditioning Coach.
All you have to do is follow the plan as prescribed, communicate honestly about how things feel, stay patient and trust the process. Remembering that small, consistent efforts create lasting results.
