When it comes to enhancing your athletic performance, building resilience and staying injury-free, nothing beats a well-planned strength and conditioning programme.
As a sports massage therapist with a background in physical recovery and performance support, I know first-hand how essential strength and conditioning training is: not just for athletes, but for anyone looking to improve their overall health, well-being and long-term fitness.
At JB Sports Recovery, I offer fully tailored strength and conditioning training plans that are not only effective but also practical and realistic for your lifestyle. Whether you’re training for a sporting event, looking to prevent injuries or simply want to feel stronger and more energised in your daily life: I’m here to help.

What Is Strength and Conditioning Training?
Strength and conditioning training is a structured and holistic approach to physical development. It goes far beyond simply lifting weights or doing a few push-ups. It’s about building a balanced and resilient body by developing strength, endurance, power, agility, flexibility and mobility.
This kind of training doesn’t just improve how you look; it transforms how you move and function. It supports your joints, strengthens your core and helps you carry out everyday activities with greater ease and confidence. Most importantly, it significantly reduces the risk of injury.
While this training method is widely used in professional sport and athletic preparation, it’s incredibly beneficial for people of all fitness levels. Whether you’re completely new to exercise, returning after a break or a seasoned gym-goer looking to improve your performance, strength and conditioning training can help you achieve your goals.
Bespoke Plans You Can Fit into Your Schedule
Two of the biggest barriers to exercise are time and knowledge. I completely understand that modern life is busy: between work, family and other commitments, it’s not always realistic to get to a gym three or four times a week. On top of that, if you don’t know what you are focusing on when you get to the gym or how to achieve your goals you can end up wasting time on ineffective exercises or injuring yourself with improper technique.
That’s why I offer fully customised strength and conditioning training plans that can be done with me in my bespoke home gym in one hour sessions; where I will be with you to offer support, lead you through the proper technique and discuss how to achieve your goals as quickly and safely as possible.
The programme I create with you will be carefully tailored to suit your current fitness level and your personal goals so that it is not only purposeful and effective but achievable: allowing you to build up your skills with the proper technique or start your fitness journey off with the right steps for success.
Continued Support to Help You Succeed
Getting started is often the easiest part. It’s staying consistent and motivated over the long term that presents the real challenge. That’s where I come in. I’m not just here to design your programme: I’m here to support your fitness journey from day one.
We’ll have regular check-ins at the end of our sessions to track your progress, address any concerns and adapt your plan as your fitness improves. I’ll offer guidance, encouragement and honest feedback to keep you moving forward. If you have a setback: whether it’s due to injury, illness or life getting in the way: I’ll help you reset and find your rhythm again.
I don’t focus on short term goals: My approach is focused on building long-term strength, improving your movement quality and creating sustainable habits that benefit both your body and your mind.
The Power of Sports Massage in Your Recovery
As well as providing strength training support, I’m a qualified and experienced massage therapist specialising in sports massage. This means I can support your recovery as well as your performance.
Sports massage is an excellent way to complement your training. It’s especially useful if you’re experiencing tightness, fatigue or muscle soreness; or if you just want to stay on top of your body’s needs.
Some of the key benefits of this type of training include:
Improved blood circulation
Faster recovery from workouts
Reduced muscle soreness and stiffness
Better joint mobility and flexibility
Injury prevention and pain relief
Even if you’re not currently dealing with an injury, incorporating sports massage into your routine can help keep your muscles supple and healthy, allowing you to train more effectively and feel better day to day.
Whether you’re doing home workouts, returning to fitness after an injury or preparing for a race or challenge, regular massage can make a noticeable difference to how your body feels and performs.
Why Choose Me?
When you work with me, you’re not getting a one-size-fits-all plan or a faceless app telling you what to do. You’re getting a personal, one-to-one service from someone who genuinely cares about your progress and well-being and is there with you to offer meaningful support.
I take the time to get to know you, your goals, your lifestyle, and your physical limitations (if any). That means I can build a realistic and flexible strength and conditioning programme that not only works for your body: but fits around your life.
You’ll never be left to figure things out alone. I’ll be there to support, motivate, and educate you along the way; whether that’s helping you refine your technique, answering questions about your routine, or providing massage therapy when your body needs a helping hand.
Book your sessions now or get in touch with me today to discuss the first steps. Let’s build a stronger, healthier you: starting now.
